                                        Our Island Girls

Each of our dogs is microchipped then tested for luxating patellas, heart murmurs, genetic eye abnormalities and  will be registered with OFA, cardiac OFA and eyes through CERF.  Once testing is complete at one year of age all results are forwarded to the CHIC registry.

While we are aware that having our dogs tested does not guarantee that they will not have problems in the future or do not carry the genes to produce many of the health issues associated with a toy breed...

We will never knowingly breed a dog with a genetic health issue in its lines and will remove any dog from the breeding program if we find that they carry the genetics to produce puppies with health issues!!! 

All of our dogs that are bred have also seen a vet on a regular basis... are given heartworm & parasite preventive medications monthly and are vaccinated on a regular basis.

Dharma is EXACTLY the type and color I have been looking for to add to my merle line!!!  She has outstanding conformation, moves like a dream and has a very showy attitude:)  She is solid black with white markings!!

Libby is a blue merle out of the same sire and dam as our girl Penelope!!! Both Penelope and her litter sister Dolly are CHIC certified.

 

Harper & Libby will be officially health tested for CHIC certification at one year of age.
