Lost Island Chihuahua's

In order for us to be able to maintain healthy breeding stock we have to occasionally place dogs that do not live up to our requirements as a part of our program.  It is a heartbreaking aspect of trying to "better the breed" because we get extremely attached during the time they are here before they can be tested for health certification and conformation...  But it is unfortunately a necessary aspect of the process if we are to reach our goal of providing the healthiest possible chihuahuas that conform to the AKC standard.  Most of the dogs we acquire as puppies are too difficult for us to let go of once they have lived with us for any length of time!!!  We have decided to dedicate a page to those babies that even though they did not meet our requirements for breeding we are too in love with them and they are too much a part of our family for us to ever let them go...  We hope you enjoy watching them grow here!!!
